Hui Ho'oniho's mission is to build a firm foundation to cultivate and strengthen community through the practice of uhau humu pōhaku.
They believe that uhau humu pōhaku is a foundational system of 'ike Hawai'i that provides community entry into a deeper sense of stewardship towards 'āina through its connection to the agricultural, ecological, and cultural practices of Hawai'i with a focus on fostering the intergenerational passing of 'ike Hawai'i and restoring both physical cultural spaces as well as the indigenous knowledge of natural resource management, food cultivation, and spiritual practices for the benefit of the current and future generations.
