Kana'aho Kahulimanu

Kana'aho Kahulimanu is a grassroots, Indigenous-led nonprofit dedicated to restoring Kahaluʻu Loʻi through 'āina-based stewardship, education, co-developed research and community engagement. Our work centers on revitalizing a traditional agricultural and water management system while reconnecting community members (keiki to kūpuna) to land, culture, and each other.

Through regular mālama 'āina workdays, place-based education programs, co-developed research, and community partnerships, they create accessible pathways for people to actively participate in caring for 'āina. By uplifting Indigenous leadership and knowledge, the hui shift narratives around stewardship and education, fostering a more just and sustainable future where communities are empowered to care for and sustain their own resources.
