Nation of Hawai'iʻs mission can be summed up in one word: Education. They are a grassroots, community based, non-profit organization working to improve the quality of life of all people. Thier educational programs & projects are a new approach towards economic, social, and cultural development, perpetuating the Hawaiian cultural way of life by preserving the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of nā kūpuna o Hawai'i nei.
Aloha First and Nation of Hawai'i have been working diligently for the last three decades to provide a variety of services to Kānaka Maoli and others in our communities from gardens and markets, health and wellness, to economic development, and much more. They have conducted many land and water restoration projects with multiple community partners, local educators and students, working to incorporate traditional ecological knowledge with cutting edge technologies to restore and revitalize our ahupua'a and create a model of sustainability and agroecological resiliency for others to implement.
