Pu'uhonua Society cultivates space(s) where Native Hawaiian and Hawaiʻi-based artists, cultural practitioners, and those rooted in the archipelago can continue creative practices for the collective transformation of Hawaiʻi.
For over 50 years, they've worked to preserve and uplift Native Hawaiian culture while supporting artists and practitioners rooted in Hawai'i by supporting basic needs through direct-to-artist grants, commissions, studio space, and professional development. They create accessible platforms through exhibitions, archives, libraries, film screenings, and publications, and nurture health and healing through workshops, gatherings, mentorships, fiscal sponsorships, and fellowships.
