AF3IRM Hawai’i

AF3IRM stands for Association of Feminists Fighting Fascism Imperialism Refeudalization and Marginalization. Founded in 1989, they are a transnational feminist, anti-imperialist organization of women dedicated to the struggle for women’s liberation and the fight against oppression in all its forms. An all-volunteer, grassroots organization of women of color who share histories of migration under imperialist globalization and bearers of a multiplicity of histories, languages, cultures and world views, AF3IRM actively practices immigrant- and Native-led, trans-inclusive feminism. The Hawaiʻi Chapter was established in 2016 and through their work, AF3IRM Hawaiʻi seeks to amplify the connections of a de-occupied Hawaiʻi that is inextricably linked to women’s liberation and uplift the lived experience of women and girls who have been silenced and intentionally excluded to lead work under the call for “Land & Women Not for Conquest” and “Land Back Bodies Back!” They are deeply invested in community education and training and seek to build strong partnerships with organizations that share a desire and commitment to ending systems of colonial violence and white supremacist patriarchy.
