Sex Worker’s Outreach Project Hawai’i

Sex Worker’s Outreach Project Hawaiʻi (SWOP Hawaiʻi) is a grassroots organization led by sex workers, advocating for the safety, healing, and liberation of marginalized communities engaged in consensual adult labor. Through direct support services, mutual aid, and community empowerment initiatives, they address systemic discrimination at the intersections of race, gender, and class. The hui’s work challenges stigma and discrimination, advocates for the decriminalization of adult consensual work, and uplifts the voices of those most impacted by injustice. Collaborating with diverse community partners, they provide access to essential resources, including healthcare and gender-affirming care, while actively engaging in community building and education. By centering the experiences and needs of sex workers, particularly TQIGNC, LGB2S+ BIPOC folx, the hui strives to shift harmful narratives, enhance safety, and foster resilience within the community. Their mission advances social change in Hawaiʻi by confronting oppressive systems with direct service, promoting healing justice through addressing folx holistically, and allowing individuals to advocate for their own rights and dignity within our community by uplifting their voices.
